The barrier reef of it attracts many enthusiasts from all over the world in scuba and snorkeling, and many of Belize’s national parks are renowned as the paradise of birdwatchers. People who are interested in archaeology will be crazy about the Mayan sites of Altun Ha, Lamani, and Caracol. Tourists coming here have the many exciting experience of the friendly locals, the pleasant weather, and the tasty and delicious food. Although it may not be the cheapest destination in the continent but it’s one of the most approachable and relaxing countries to discover. I will share the best tips from my vacation in Belize into this guide!

Must-see and do things in Belize

Belize Zoo

One of the most attractive place in Belize City is its zoo. Winning the title “the best little zoo in the world” and being located in 29 acre site, it is home for over 120 species of animal from the country. Many of the tourists may be familiar with jaguars, macaws, snakes, pumas, and crocodiles.

Hol Chan Marine Reserve

Hol Chan is a famous marine reserve in the country and is placed close to Ambergris Caye. The diving and snorkeling experience in the park is wonderful which includes caves, coral, and plenty of tropical fish and will definitely blow your mind. Tourists who want to get up close and personal with sharks and rays may head to Shark Ray Alley around feeding time.

Altun Ha

Getting to the Mayan site of Altun Ha is also a good hint considering the experience with its ruins which are well-preserved located just 30 miles north of the City. The place of interest in the city includes Temple of the Masonry Altars, built from the 7th Century. The Temple height is 54 feet and a climb to the top rewards you with a whole view of the pyramids and plaza below. The tour costs approximately 50 dollars including transport, entrance fee, a guide, and drinks.

See the wildlife

Central America is no doubt a paradise for people loving watching the wildlife including Belize. Hol Chan and the Belize Zoo seem to be just an introduction for the show.  Crooked Tree Wildlife Sanctuary is surely a place for bird-watching with its outstandingly spotting opportunities. Meanwhile, people interested in big cats can track down to the most famous protected area Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary for jaguars.

Bacab Adventure & Eco Park

“Something for Everyone” is it’s slogan, it covers 500 acres of jungle, you including hiking trails, waterways, Howler Monkeys, a giant swimming pool with a waterfall, a Butterfly house, and crocodiles. All of the sites will make your whole family busy. Camping overnight for 10 BZD per person is a good suggestion. Furthermore tents can be accessible for the ones needed..

BERMUDA – MOST BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY IN THE WORLD

Bermuda is beautiful, sunshine, relaxing. It’s bloody expensive. Bermuda is not the cheapest location in the world as it has many banks, tax-avoiding businesses, and rich and powerful people. The resorts on the island serve to an rich crowd, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t go to this place. If you have a slightly more money, you’ll find an island with the beautiful beaches in America, friendly people, and great food. There is wonderful caves here, snorkeling, walking, and so much more!! I love to visit to Bermuda and found ways to go on a moderate budget. However, it is very difficult.

Top Things to Do in Bermuda

Explore the Crystal and Fantasy Caves – These caves are not big, but they are pretty beautiful to enjoy. They were my favorite attractions on the island.

Visit the Devil’s Hole Aquarium – This is a unique aquarium, allowing visitors to ‘fish’ for reef fish and turtles (bait, no hooks). Visitors can also view the Bermuda National Zoo and Aquarium. This zoo is unique as you can walk into the habitats of the animals. It’s a fun activity.

Visit the Gibbs Hill Lighthouse – The oldest cast iron structures in the Earth, you can climb to the observation deck to see spectacular views of this island and the surrounding waters. A tea room will provide drinks and snacks. The entrance fee is definitely worth the scene.

Visit the Royal Naval Dockyard – This area is where the visiting ships come in has the National Museum of Bermuda, restaurants, bars, and provides some good people watching. You can go to Hamilton by the ferry from here too. Since all the visiting ships come here, everything is very expensive in the Dockyards but I liked the area to walk around, buy an ice cream, and people watch. This is very much an entertainment area and complete with snorkel area and mini-golf!

Walk the Bermuda Railway – This is a public walking trail stretching from St. George Town in the east end of Bermuda, through Pembroke Parish near the Hamilton city and on toward Somerset Village in the west end. In spite of being long, it is very easy to walk across the island. It is seldom to see any shade on the trail thus make sure to bring a lot of water and sunscreen. Try to avoid being burnt like me!

Visit the Cathedral of the Most Holy Trinity – As looking for history, wonderful architecture or fantastic views, you should think of the Cathedral of the Most Holy Trinity. They built the church in an English way in the century of 19.

BEST OF CAMBODIA

Cambodia is one of the best destinations I have been to. It may be a poor, corrupt, barren country, but it has the most amazing people I’ve ever known, long history, tasty food, beautiful beaches, and a lively night. Cambodia is a country still trying to develop by their own ways. Development is not good, because of corrupt officials. They have sold off most of the country to investors. But through my time  here, I always fall in love with this country truly and can’t introduce it enough to everyone I meet. It always amazes you. This Cambodia guide can help you plan your holiday.

The best of Cambodia

Angkor Wat – The most famous temple complex of Cambodia is the reason most people come to Cambodia. The temples are so massive, and you can’t discover all of them in a few days. There are more sites to the country than this famous site (many people only know about Angkor), your trip is incomplete without visiting Tomb Raider and exploring these ruins.

Tongle Sap – going along this river allows you to look totally about Cambodian life. It is tied to the waterway. You can take a boat to explore it in a day trip.

Sihanoukville – White sand and sunshine beaches, nearby bleak islands, good diving, surprising seafood, and a lively nightlife filled with cheap alcohol make this place be a favorite site for visitors. This place was once a very poor town, but has become a favorite town for backpackers. It’s not a silent place to hang out, but it is wonderful place to drink or use as a site to visit the nearby islands, which are quiet and scenery.

Phnom Penh –the capital city of Cambodia, this place has a wild west style with dusty and smoke in atmosphere. There are not many good attractions to visit and an up-and-coming foodie vibe to the city. Since the lake destroyed everything, most of the activities have moved to the river.

Bamboo Island – Located in the coast of Sihanoukville, Bamboo Island is a wonderful place to relax, it takes just 10 minutes to cross. Here, the highlight is the special local culture–if you want to know the locals, let try your hand at Khmer, and join in the traditional Cambodian dance.

Kep – This beautiful beach is the quiet Sihanoukville version, a good place to vacation near the ocean without the party atmosphere like to Sihanoukville. This city is well-known for pepper crab and deserted beaches. There’s not many things to do here, so it also makes for a good trip if you don’t like the idea of doing too much.

Bokor National Park – Go along the French ruins while walking a great rainforest. Bokor was a wonderful destination for the French aristocracy back after working, and you can see the ruins of their homes. It takes a day from Sihanoukville or nearby Kampot.

BRAZIL – IDEAL DESTINATION

Brazil is the biggest country in South America and owner of some the world’s most metropolitan cities, but this is not all. It is the home of the famous Carnival that takes place every year and attracts millions of Samba dancers. Wildlife fans will be excited about exploring the wetlands such as the Pantanal and the Amazon rainforest, while those who are interesting in colonial architecture and historic cities will go to visit Salvador. Throw yourself in beaches, soccer, beautiful girls, and cheap costs, and it is so easy to persuade someone this is a country worth visiting. this Brazil travel guide can help you plan your trip there.

Expected Costs

Accommodation – Hostel in Brazil is very cheap. The price for a dorm room in a hostel is only 15 to 30 BRL. Private rooms cost about 40 BRL. Budget for hotels are also widely between 70-100 BRL. Your own room in a homestay only cost as little as 35-50 BRL.

Food – Food is reasonable. The price for meal at restaurants here cost 14 BRL including a couple of courses and a drink. Nicer meals at a more modern restaurant with a nicer décor cost around 35 BRL. Shopping is very cheap here, just about 103 BRL for a week. Everything is more expensive if you are in Rio.

Transportation – Long-distance buses are very convenient, cheap, and comfortable way to travel. Bus tickets cost about 8-10 BRL for an hour of travel. You can check travel distance and times via internet—going from Rio to the south region could take you more than 24 hours, so it may be better to go by plane if you are rich visitors. Train service is limited to the tourist, so you should check carefully before choosing.

Activities – Attractive place are reasonably price. Prices for a football match cost around 35 BRL for a ticket, depending on where you want to seat and enter to Iguazu Falls is about 42 BRL. Amazon river trips cost a few hundred dollars to thousands depending on time and services.

Saving Tips

Go off season – Around the Rio Carnival, accommodation prices will be triple increase. December to March is also a very busy time as people from the Northern go to escape the winter. Try to avoid these days if you want to get low prices.

Buddy up – In Brazil, you’ll pay insurance for a single room, almost twice the price of a double. Let go with a friend to halve the price of your accommodation if you’re not excited about staying in a dorm.

Agree on taxi prices – Negotiate the price for your journey with the taxi driver before going—many drivers will not use meters and try to take your money. Using the bus is better most of the time.
